Legalization of Marijuana.
I am 17 years old and as my mind has aged, My thoughts towards myself have gotten worse. I have struggle with depression for many years. the only thing that keeps me from wanting to kill myself sometimes is marijuana.
I will say, that marijuana has saved my life on occasion.
I do not abuse marijuana by any means. I only pick up the substance few times a week, and only use it when I truly feel as if I am going to do something harmful to myself.
You do not understand the severity of my depression if you disagree with what I’m preaching. This is not to make those who see it as a bad think or feel any different about the substance. But Its a cry for help, from me.
There are tons of articles expressing to us how bad marijuana is. Tons of people want to see marijuana banned but they’re a tad ignorant because half of them have never even tried it.
If your a depressed person trying to function, then marijuana is the most helpful substance that I have ever tried and believe me I’ve tried almost every single FDA approved anti-depressant.
Marijuana takes my mind off of the horrible thoughts running through the brain that make me suicidal.
I most likely wouldn’t be alive to write this if it weren’t for this substance.
If it takes all the conservatives dying to make the FDA realize this isn’t as harmful if it were to be controlled like cigarettes…. Then we wouldn’t have many problems with the substance.
The country sees problems with it because you all refuse to look at the positives and control it as if it were tobacco. Tobacco is 5x more harmful to your body than marijuana is and it’s legal. There have been 50,000+ alcohol related deaths every year die to alcohol, but it’s legal.
Crime wise: If anything the crime rate would go down… Because no dealers will have to worry about beating someone up who didn’t give them their money… Why? Because you’ll buy it at the drug store.
That only makes sense.
It’s not safe because no one has taken the step towards making it safe. It’s a street drug that can be laced because the FDA doesn’t find it necessary to help everyone by selling it in the stores like tobacco.
It would help tons of people’s safety.
Leave the cocaine and the heroine on the streets but not marijuana.
It makes wonderful economic sense due to added tax to the product and it would be healthier and safer than buying it off the streets.
The people that anger me the most with anti-marijuana legalization are the ones who express how horrible it is and have never even seen the substance a day in their life.
First: Ask them if they’ve ever tried it? Then ask them if they’ve ever self medicated with it for being suicidal? I can guarantee you tons of them will say, no and no. Those are the ones who don’t and will never understand.

It will be legal one day.
One day when everyone realized how much sense it makes.
